It was pouring rain when we tested reportedly the only restaurant serving gluten-free pizza in Berlin. The name of this small place is Simela Pizza & Focaccia. They have gluten-free sections in their menu. I ordered extra spicy salami pizza with gluten-free buckwheat base. I had to wait for the pizza really long time. The others in our group ate their ordinary pizzas during that time.
The pizza was brought on a wooden board and it was big. There was plenty of mozzarella. The base was darker than in ordinary pizzas. I had a great hunger and the big pizza went down fast. The other members of our group tested my gluten-free pizza and they said that spicy salami was hot and really tasty - I agree. The gluten-free pizza was nicely accompanied with Savanna Dry cider - It's rare to have cider in Berlin.
Some online comments says that they use same tools with ordinary and gluten-free pizza, but at least I did not get any symptoms.
