Tarkoitus oli käydä syömässä jossakin, sillä nälkä oli jo kova. Chico'sin ikkunassa näkyi ruokalista, jossa oli valmiiksi merkinnät gluteenittomista vaihtoehdoista ja totesin sen olevan hyvä lähtökohta. Ravintola oli tupaten täynnä (klo noin 13:45)ja tarjoilija sanoikin odotusajan olevan noin 45 minuuttia. Päätimme silti jäädä, koska ruokalista näytti selkeältä ja hyvältä. Varmistin tilausta tehdessä vielä, että annoksen on oltava gluteeniton ja tämä lupasi tarkistaa asian keittiöstä. Tarjoilijaa ei kuitenkaan koskaan kuulunut takaisin, mutta ohi kulkenut toinen tarjoilija, joka nimikyltistä päätellen oli jonkinsortin vuoropäällikkö lupasi käydä tarkistamassa vielä asian ja palasi kertomaan, että heillä tosiaan perunoille on oma rasva (upporasvakeitin tms.), jossa ne paistetaan. Vaikutti tietoiselta keliaakikon tarpeista. Annoksen toi pöytään taas eri tarjoilija, jolla ei kyllä ollut hajuakaan keliakiasta eikä gluteenittoman ruokavalion vaatimuksista, mutta luotin aiemmin saamiini vastauksiin. Annokset olivat isot ja onneksi mitään oireita en jälkeenpäin saanut. Positiivinen ensikokemus keliaakikkona ravintolaruokailusta!
